***ID 68*** **Skin Deep Censorship**

This photographic series depicts my naked, but not explicitly nude, body covered in projected red text reading "CENSORED".

This piece directly confronts the surge in book bans, media censorship, legislative attempts to control women's bodies and the systematic removal of crucial topics from our history books. By literally projecting censorship onto the human form, it forces viewers to confront how these policies affect real people.

As the word "censored" covers my body, it creates a striking contrast against my skin, drawing the viewer's attention to the areas it covers. The boldness of the red lettering disrupts the natural lines and curves of my form, symbolizing how censorship disrupts the natural expression of identity and self.

In many of the photos, my whole body is captured, each pose carefully chosen to add a layer of sensuality to the composition. This sensuality is not intended to be explicit but rather to emphasize the human form in its raw and unfiltered state. By doing this, I aim to challenge the notion that the human body is something to be hidden or shamed. The word "censored" superimposed over these poses creates a juxtaposition that speaks to the conflict between self-expression and societal repression.

The work serves as a warning about the direction of our culture, highlighting how censorship that starts with books or media can quickly extend to controlling bodies and personal freedoms. It challenges viewers to consider where this path leads and what might be lost in a fully "censored" society.
