Operator, connect me to trouble...

I shouldn’t be making this call. But here I am, fingertips grazing the receiver, heels pressing into the floor as anticipation coils around me like a velvet ribbon. A whispered temptation, a silent dare.

Will he pick up? Will his voice betray that flicker of hesitation—the one that tells me he knows exactly what I want? Or will I hear nothing but breath, heavy and waiting, as the line crackles between us?

My foot slides forward, the barest touch, an unspoken command. The power shift is intoxicating. I know he’s hanging onto my every word, waiting to see how far I’ll take it. And I will take it as far as I want.

After all, I never make a call unless I know it will be answered….
