When you truly understand that you control your fate
All a matter simply by the decisions you make
That you indeed are the captain of your ship
And take heed it is you that you ever have to deal with
When you understand the culmination of your choice
And learn to reason when you chose to give up your voice
Then you have one decision left to make
Do you choose to seize that which makes you happy
Or concede to the masses and put oneself lastly
Is it truly happiness you seek or is it validation
Selling off your joy for the fleeting acceptance compensation
Is the basis of your life defined by other's sum
Or would you choose to live a life defined by your freedom
