Continuing my stream of wholesome posts. I know things are rough right now, but it is still peony season 💓🌺
I love the little pistils (the flower’s swollen base, also called its ovaries). They’re topped with pink ‘stigma’ that pollen grains travel down to fertilize the peony to make seed pods. Eep! I love flowers.
