As you may have guessed, I have been considering showing my face more broadly on social media. I have been thinking about getting on platforms other than OF and Reddit--it would be more difficult to conceal my face and still have my content do well on some platforms. It is getting increasingly difficult to promote on only Reddit--especially with the API changes that are coming up. I also have a dream of being able to build a following via more permanent content.
I'm still on the fence about it. I don't want my privacy to be compromised, and while the probability of something really bad happening is small, the impact is huge. And I do like having only my subscribers see me in my entirety--it feels more personal.
This will be a difficult decision and it is still likely that nothing will change. But I am sharing these thoughts so that in the case I do decide to show my face broadly, it won't be a total surprise to you.
