My body. Not yours.

Every day, people on the internet tell me what I should look like. Lose weight. Gain weight. Cut your hair. Dye it. Cover up. Show more. Change this. Fix that. And for what? To fit into their idea of how I should be?

It’s exhausting. And honestly, some days, it hurts. Because every comment like that implies that I’m not enough the way I am. But you know what? I am enough. Just as I am. My body is mine, and I decide what I do with it. Not strangers on the internet.

And the same goes for you. You are perfectly enough, just the way you are. You don’t have to change to meet someone else’s expectations. Be soft, be strong, be loud, be quiet, be YOU. Because you are the only one who gets to decide who you want to be.
