Shibari means tying. When someone speaks about Shibari, they’re referring to a specific type of rope bondage that originated in Japan. Shibari began as a type of bondage to restrain (and word I can’t use here) prisoners and began to evolve into an erotic bondage in the late 19th to early 20th centuries. There is so much beauty in the art of shabari and so many ways to see it expressed.
Commonly, when people think of kink or BDSM, they think of harsh or cruel acts. While some practices can lean that way, a lot of kink, and BDSM is very beautiful.
There’s a lot of power in these roads holding me, but it *felt* like being held. Being weightless. Transcendent.
