During the Renaissance, artists often depicted bare feet as a symbol of purity and also emphasized their aesthetic appeal in religious and mythological subjects.

For example, Titian's "Venus of Urbino" (1534) – The reclining Venus is barefoot, underscoring her sensual beauty and divine nature.

I think nowadays feet in images have taken on a more erotic context, but it's for sure still art.
