I’m visiting canberra 21-23 may. Excited to reconnect with a high-school friend who I haven’t seen in two years ^^. We were in different friend groups & were studying different subjects but stayed in touch through text.
I went back to Perth and spoke to my (ex) closest high-school girlfriends in March & it was disastrous. They were extremely shallow and couldn’t hold a conversation unrelated to money, boys & drama.
We had dinner & I left at around the 25 minute mark when they started interrogating my partner’s income & both told me “you have to pay the bill because you’re the richest.” Huge assumption because I didn’t answer any of their income questions. :)? They ended up leaving with me and both of them walked ahead of me to the uber (so passive aggressive).
