Guys I officially have access to a studio. I'm very wordy tonight so here's the story:
Jason Stokes aka @ pbnjasonsammich on Twitter is a local photographer who I met up with for drinks at one of those storage unit brewery places over the pandemic. Dude was super chill, we got along, all that. He mentioned that I could use his studio for things but I was still jumping around between remote shooting, working with JMO (my quarantine model), and some longer photo tours to bank up content to dig through while on 'lockdown'. Frankly I just forgot lol. Ultimately the pandemic put everyone at home full time and my portfolio shifted from a mix of home studio and airbnbs to exclusively airbnbs. Having a studio back in the mix just gives me more options when trying to come up with concepts. It lets me drop in and try an idea on a weekend or build weird lighting rigs and shoot entire series on them.
Lindsay was my go-to for last second booking and she brought in a ton of flowers from her farm and it made for an amazing scene. I have more from this day, too, I'll follow up with that later because..
Today I'm going in for a second time to work with a new model and we're probably going to experiment with a few looks so I can get more used to Jason's lights and studio features. I don't have a concept yet. Gonna start with nude and build from there.
