Little fun fact about me and my parents:
My mum is very organised, provides for everyone materially, she's reliable, hard worker, looks like the perfect mom but is a very bad emotional parent.
My dad is an ADHD megalomaniac mess who hasn't had a job in 30 years, he's unreliable and hasn't been very present but he showed me unconditional love.
Now guess to whom all my traumas are related to?
Yep, if you're a parent or want to be, remember this: you'll be a better parent by showing love and being attentive than by trying to be perfect.
