I’ve taken her to the vet, tried an anti-inflammatory and finally got x-rays for her this past Friday, where I found out she has torn ligaments in both of her hind legs…this is all just about exactly a year after she had a uti and then bladder stones that she had to get removed in emergency surgery :( It’s taken time for me to fully absorb (I'm still processing) what this new diagnosis means for my Adventure Panda and what it means for my full-time vanlife timeline. My first priority will always be the health, safety, and happiness for my pup. I’m not going to force her into a lifestyle that doesn’t mesh with what her body can do today. So the waiting continues….the healing starts. We’ll be on the road one day, but I’m setting all planned timelines to the side for now until my little one is ready for the road too. Hey y'all - A lil life update... When I was on the road through the holidays in Dec / Jan, my pup started having some health issues that we still haven't gotten to the botttom of. And it all started on the cusp of when I had been planning to hit the road full-time...I had to quickly pivot my focus from preparing to start an exciting new chapter to instead making sure my pup receives the best care she can get. Last week at a follow-up appointment, my vet found something concerning in an ultrasound. We are waiting to get results back so that we can rule out anything malignant...🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I haven't been able to bring myself to type this out until now because it's all a lot to process. Until Panda is back to her healthy and spry self, we are taking it easy and staying put close to her vet.
