DJ is a pivotal character in my WIP, which won’t be available before 2025. On the night that he died, he left his phone at the bar. He didn’t expect to die. He thought he’d be leaving the country and couldn’t predict if he’d return, because that was not his choice. His life was not his own in a way that people who lead normal lives can’t understand. If he hadn’t been killed, he would have been the agent of someone’s death. But his actions were determined by someone else.
