HAPPY MARDI GRAS 💛💜💚✨✨✨ this is my first year living in New Orleans, and I've been to a few of the smaller Mardi Gras parades over the past few days (Chewbacchus and Barkus), but yesterday I went to Iris, my first BIG one with multi tiered floats!! it was so much fun!!! I went over to my friends' house first and Alex made us homemade biscuits and gravy for brekky (so incredibly good) and ofc we had some king cake too (tis the season) and Brett made us mimosas, then we set out for Iris! it was so packed but we got a great spot and I had so much fun screaming and jumping and waving my hands around trying to get beads and throwables by the end of the parade we were all heavily laden with beads and sunglasses and headbands and bracelets, and a big tote bag stuffed with all our other treasures we caught (cups, plushies, keychains) apparently I made a faux pa by scavenging the ground for dirty throwables that had been dropped, I thought I had unlocked a great strat but my friends told me it's "bad juju" to pick throwables up off the ground anyways I had a great time, then rushed home to stream and had a great time on stream with you all too!
