i used to cry to landslide by fleetwood mac as a child anytime i heard it and because 60s and 70s rock are one of my special interests, i listened to that particular song a LOT, on repeat constantly. now as an adult, with obviously many more meanings coming to light upon relistening, im still brought to tears (although i cry often as a way to release any emotion haha) anyway i just wanted to share that as im listening to some fleetwood mac right now and landslide popped up. a lot of intense emotion is associated with my journey through music as a child. id like to talk more about myself in relation to my special interests over time cuz i think that'd be cool c:

music has been a major part of my entire world since i can first start gathering memories. ive always used music to collect my thoughts, regulate, make decisions, and grow. i found the artist, aurora, in high school and was completely transformed. from 'running with the wolves' to 'giving into the love' all the way to 'invisible wounds,' her music has been there on my journey towards better understanding myself. yes, the last three years ive been in her top listeners because i listen to her at least once a week, and it's usually for at least an hour at a time hehe. i am obsessed with her sound, the lyrics, and the feeling i get inside while listening to her. i saw her for the first time in concert this past year and she was fantastic! as i grow, i find new lessons and meaning within her lyrics and i just keep loving her music more with every listen. i can seek comfort when i need to move through any emotion im experiencing. it's such a wonderful thing to have her music in my life. ♡

i woke up early this morning and had one of her songs stuck in my head, so i put her music on shuffle and felt the need to share that quote. i think it's so important to be true to yourself and live for yourself. i am a queer, autistic human and although my sexuality, gender, and diagnosis do not define they, they are indeed a major part of myself and i am proud of where i am and who i am. im excited to learn more about myself as time continues ♡❀
