Hey everyone! 🌪️ I just wanted to give you all an update – after 4 long days without power due to Hurricane Helene, we finally have electricity again! ⚡ My family and I are safe, but we’re still facing some challenges. Essentials like ingredients for cooking 🥫 are tough to find, and gas ⛽ is scarce too. I’m hoping to get back to my normal schedule by the weekend as the area continues repair efforts. Schools have been out 🏫 and are only running on a delay for now.
On top of that, there’s another set of storms 🌧️ potentially hitting next week, and everyone in the Southeast is bracing themselves. We just got hit by a storm of nearly "biblical" proportions, so the threat of more is pretty overwhelming. Even if the coming systems don't turn out as bad, the entire southeast is devastated and won't be able to handle any more rainfall 🌊. Our dams and rivers are at major flood levels, and more rain just makes it worse on us as well as those downstream. I’ve been stocking up on supplies 🛒 in case the power goes out again to make things less stressful, but we will see what happens.
If you’d like to help out, any tips would go a long way toward easing the stress if we get hit again 💸, especially with bills and supplies piling up while I’m not able to work or chat as much. Your support means the world to me – thank you so much for being here with me through all of this! ❤️ Stay safe out there! 🙏
