**Un-sexy Life Update** If you don’t listen to my podcast Down the Rabbit Hole, you probably didn’t know that I was recently diagnosed with sleep apne-a. For the last 10+ years I’ve suffered severe Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (EDS), and sleeping disorder-s like narcolepsy run in my family. Having EDS made me chronically tired, irritated, and depressed from the constant severe tiredness, which made it hard for me to do most things without having to sleep the day away. After diagnose-d with sleep apne-a, I wanted more answers so I sought an ENT who discovered I not only had a deviated septum, but also that the bone structure of my nose was so crooked, it was causing even more obstructio-n to my breathin-g. Due to this, I had to meet with a plastic surgeo-n in order to get these issues fixed and be able to properly breathe in the normal way I’ve never been able to. This was my first ever surger-y and I was terrified but it went really well! I’ll be recovering for at least a week if not longer, and so far all I’ve really done is sleep. My nose had to be broke-n to have it reshaped so my eyes and face will be bruise-d for a while. I’m really eager to see how I’ll look when recovery is over, and find out what it feels like to get a full night’s rest for the first time in my life!! Just wanted to fill you all in to know what’s been up and why I might be a bit absent, but as I heal, I’ll be back around again in no time. Thank you all for the sweet and kind wishes as I finish recovering. Have a great week, everybody🖤
