one of my friends from here told me to watch «Taxi Driver»
well.. I’m kinda speechless.. The whole vibe of the movie is just so intense and gritty, like, the atmosphere is insane. The way New York looks, how dirty and dark everything is... it’s like you can *feel* it. And Robert De Niro? He’s so young and honestly, kinda magnetic. :3 I couldn’t stop watching him. His character’s like, really complex, but in a way that pulls you in🥺
The movie touches on some heavy stuff like prostitution, life and de@th, and how people can feel totally lost in the world. It really made me think about how people deal with loneliness and, like, their purpose in life.
I won’t lie, the whole thing left me feeling a bit sad and disturbed :( but it’s also the kind of movie that makes you think long after it’s over. Definitely one of those films that stays with you!
