Today I'm going to tell you some of my personal history. This morning I had my annual mammogram. This is actually a really big deal for me. I spent most of 2017 being treated for breast cancer. I was very fortunate to keep my breasts. Chemo shrunk the tumor so small that only a small amount of tissue was surgically removed. I never had any reconstruction. I do have a few noticeable scars. The side of my right breast where the tumor was removed and on my chest & neck where the mediport was inserted for me to receive chemotherapy. I did have one scare last spring but I've been cancer free since completing radiation in October of 2017.
